Hi, my name is John and I have been an ambassador for the great outdoors for my entire life.  Be it taking a school friend on a first fishing trip or sharing many a found snake or frog with my fortunate sister (hey, as long as it isn’t a spider she’s cool), playing outdoors has always been a passion for me.  Fish and Explore has been in the making for years – since I introduced my son and daughter to what I enjoy most – fishing and exploring! Look around the site and see what we have to offer – Birthday Parties, Summer and Weekend Camps, Fishing Trips, Field Trips, Individual, Group and Private Lessons!

Matt

IMG_9948-e1422895084222-768x1024Matt has been interested in nature and animals his entire life, especially insects, spiders and snakes. He grew up in Austin, Texas and moved to Virginia to attend George Mason University. While there he earned B.S. in biology and had the opportunity to collect data on streams and lakes all over Northern Virginia.  For the last few years he has been teaching Fairfax County students about aquatic bugs and the ways humans affect the environment. He loves to spend his free time outdoors  hiking, swimming and exploring.

Brendan

My name is Brendan and I have always had a passion for the outdoors. I was taught to fish by my father when I was 5 years old. Over the years I have expanded my fishing from catching bluegill in a pond to trying out every type of fishing that I can. I have explored many of the creeks, ponds, lakes and rivers in Northern Virginia over my years of fishing. In addition to fishing I enjoy hiking, kayaking, and swimming. Fish and Explore has given me a way to share my passion for the outdoors.
