Fish and Explore offers guided fishing trips and beginner lessons. We specialize in teaching beginners to fish and experienced anglers to improve their skills. Our favorite trips are float trips on the Shenandoah and Upper Potomac Rivers. We target Smallmouth Bass, but our client family has caught Largemouth Bass, Walleye, Tiger Muskie, Rock Bass, Crappie, Brim, Catfish and Snakehead!
Our Guides teach both spinning and fly-fishing techniques. We provide all the gear. St. Croix rods and Quantum and Shimano reels. You only need to dress to fish and bring a winning attitude!
Beginner lessons, for people with little to no experience fishing, can be taught year-round indoors or out and can include fishing on local lakes and creeks. Perfect for anyone that wishes to learn how to fish.

Fish and Explore offers great ways to get out and explore nature! Our experienced guides will get you up close to nature on a safe and exhilaratingly fun kayaking or hiking tour. Our specialty group tours are kept to 12 participants or less, so that you can explore the beauty of our local rivers and trails without an excessive impact on the environment. Our family sized groups also allow everyone the opportunity to see more wildlife while on our tours. Please dress to be outdoors and get a little wet and dirty.

Fish and Explore offers birthday and private parties for children, families and groups. Our birthday parties and events are dedicated nature experiences that can include fishing, kayaking, rafting, hiking and animal exploration. We offer birthday packages that can be customized to you wishes. We offer 4, 6 and 8 hour parties.
